Chief Inspector N.K Kumekeh, who happens to be the prosecutor, explained that on September 7, 2020 around 2:30am, Nicholas successfully robbed a student in his hostel. According to Inspector Kumekeh, luck eluded Nicholas when he returned again to take the charger of the laptop he had already taken.

It was upon his return that some of the student apprehended him and gave him up to the Police, where it was realise that Nicholas had been on the wanted list of the Police for a long time.

The court upon hearing the case sentenced Nicholas Tetteh to 18 years imprisonment for robbery and another 3 years for stealing.

Meanwhile, some are of the view that, the jail terms given to individuals who become victims of criminal acts such as this is too much.
